Herbal Remedies for Dogs

Learn about herbs that may be beneficial to your dog’s health. Learn which ones you can grow in your garden and then make into herbal remedies, or where to buy herbal remedies. Learn how to determine how much to give them and how often.


Herbs for Skin Conditions and Wounds or Poison Ivy

The skin is a direct reflection of what is happening inside your body. For example, your gastrointestinal system and central nervous system may be out of balanced – affecting your skin. In this class you will learn about imbalances that may be causing your skin conditions. Then you will be introduced to herbs and other helpful tools for eczema and fungal infections. Also, learn herbal care for cuts, burns, scrapes, poison ivy and sores. “Using an herbal wash, salve or oils topically can prevent infection and stimulate the cellular regeneration process” (J.J. Pursell).


Herbs for Respiratory Ailments

It’s the time to year to spend time with friends and family. Learn about herbal remedies that can keep you safe and healthy!

Getting ready to take an airplane flight? Do you work in an office with people that have the flu or a cold? This class is about introducing you to herbs that strengthen the overall immune system and herbs that help you recover if you have a flu or cold. It’s important to know that a few of the immune herbs should not be taken if the cold or flu has already entered the body (for example Echinacea). Herbal teas, tinctures and syrups will be available to sample.


Herbology: Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum)

Cinnamon is a powerful, well researched medicine. It has been used as a food and herbal remedy for centuries. In this class learn about cinnamon medicinal properties, where it comes from, how it’s harvested and more! Warmup with samples of cinnamon!
